Does Bliss Bridal offer plus size dresses?


Yes, we cater to all sizes. We understand that brides come in all shapes and sizes. Each dress is made to the bride’s specific body measurements.




How can I customize my dress?


Dresses can be custom designed by mixing and matching tops and bottoms from our collections. You can also add sleeves and detachable trains. You can further customize your look by accessorising with a veil and/or rhinestone belt.




What fabrics will be used to create my dress?


The main fabrics we use are lace, satin and tulle.




What laces are used to create the dresses?


Our signature lace is our floral embroidered applique lace that is featured on most of our dresses. However, from time to time we offer exclusive laces for a limited time only.




When should I order my dress?


Ideally you should order your dress 6 to 8 months before your wedding date to allow adequate time for production and alterations.

We can take orders up to 4 months before your wedding date.

If you would like to order your dress in less than 4 months please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a Rush-Order. Please note rush order fees may be added to the cost of your dress based on the dress style and limited time frame.




Who takes my measurements?


You are responsible for providing your measurements. You will be provided with measurement guidelines and a form to complete. Measurements can be taken by a friend or family member, or they can be taken by a seamstress or tailor. Please ensure that your waist measurement is taken correctly, we cannot stress this enough.




Will my gown fit perfectly since it's made to my measurements?


Your dress will be made to the exact measurements you provide. However, even though your dress has been made to your measurements alterations will likely be needed. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as weight gain, weight loss, or just general fit issues.

When your dress is completed you will have a fitting with our alterations specialist to determine what alterations need to be done to achieve the perfect fit. These alterations will be done by our specialist and you will receive your dress once the alterations are completed.

If you do not live in Barbados and are unable to travel for a fitting, don’t’ fear! Our gowns can be easily altered by an experienced seamstress/alterations specialist in your area. We recommend starting your alterations as soon as your down arrives. Bliss Bridal does not pay for or assume responsibility for these alterations, these alterations would be a separate cost from the purchase of your dress.




What if lose or gain weight, what should I do?


Once your order is confirmed, production will start based on the measurements you provided. Slight changes in weight are OK, especially weight loss, and can be take care of during your fitting with our alterations specialist.

However, if you are experiencing significant weight gain or weight loss, please alert us as soon as possible. Please note, major changes in dress size and body measurements may result in an additional fee to alter your dress size during production.




What if I'm pregnant?


If you are aware that you are pregnant, at the time of ordering your dress please let us know, and we would be able to account for this during the production of your dress.

If you become aware of your pregnancy after your dress has been ordered, please alert us as soon as possible. Please note, major changes in dress size and body measurements may result in an additional fee to alter your dress size or dress design during production.




Where are Bliss Bridal dresses and accessories made?


All our dresses and accessories are handmade in Barbados by our talented team.




How do I pay for my dress?


You will pay a non-refundable 50% payment at the time of ordering. the remaining 50% is due upon dress completion. You will receive an email and final invoice for the remaining balance once your dress is complete. Your dress cannot be collected nor delivered until the balance is paid.

Payments can be made via cash, bank transfer and PayPal.




What if I change my mind and want to change the design of my dress?


Certain design changes are possible. Design changes will result in additional costs.




Can I cancel my order?


Orders cancelled within 5 days of payment confirmation will be eligible for a partial refund. Orders cancelled after 5 days will not be eligible for any refunds. You can cancel your order by sending us an email.




Is shipping free?


No shipping is not free. Please take note of the shipping costs below:

Barbados delivery is $10 USD

Shipping to the Caribbean is $20 USD

International shipping is $50 to $90 USD

The shipping cost will be added to your final invoice.

Please note we are not responsible for customs and duties charged in your country.

Do you ship worldwide? How long does shipping take?


Yes we ship worldwide. We ship via FedEX which includes full tracking.

Generally, shipping usually takes 3 to 7 days from the date a bride receives her shipping notification email from us.

We recommend you provide us with an address where the package can be received securely.




Can I try on dresses?


At the moment no. We do not have sample dresses available for you to try on.




How do I order my dress?


Once you have received your quotation and you are happy with your dress design and price, then it’s time to order your dress. Placing your order is as easy as 1,2,3:

1. Sign the dress contract

2. Make your initial 50% payment. *This payment is non-refundable

3. Submit your measurements

Once you have completed the above steps your order will be confirmed.




When will I receive my dress?


If you are based in Barbados, you can expect to receive your dress 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding date, when ordering according to the 6-month time frame.

If you’re a Caribbean or International bride your dress will be shipped 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding date, when ordering according to the 6-month time frame. This is to allow you enough time for alterations.

If you have ordered your dress in less than the 6-month time frame these delivery times will be reduced. Our team can advise you on your deivery timeframe.




Can I order my dress in less than 3 months?


Rush orders are done on a case by case basis, depending on our scheduel, the style of your dress, and the limited time frame.

If you would like to order your dress in less than 3 months please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a Rush-Order. Please note rush order fees may be added to the cost of your dress based on the dress style and limited time frame.

Please note for rush orders you can expect to receive your dress 1 to 2 weeks before to your wedding date.
